What's On in 2020

Please note that the monthly illustrated talks  take place in the MAIN HALL at THORNHILL SCHOOL.   The  venue is large and comfortable and there is ample parking there as well. The talks will continue to commence at 7.30pm and last for approx. one hour. Doors open at 7pm - all are welcome. The talks are £1 to members with a £2 cover charge for visitors.The society's talks are held on the THIRD Tuesday of each month - Sept to June (see times above). The following are all illustrated talks commencing at 7.30pm and last approx one hour.  Doors are open at 6.50pm

The talks take place in Thornhill School main hall

 The society's Heritage Centre in Douro Terrace is closed  until further notice.  We will endeavour to keep members updated on any changes via this website and our Facebook site.**

A number of queries have been received about the payment of annual subscriptions that are due now, or in the near future.  These can still be paid in the usual manner but if you are used to paying personally at either Douro Terrace or at the monthly talk then PLEASE do send payment to the society at 6 Douro Terrace, Sunderland SR2 7DX or direct to our Treasurer, Linda King, at 3 Woodside, Sunderland, SR2 7ET

WE KNOW THAT THIS IS A VERY DIFFICULT PERIOD FOR EVERYONE BUT WE SINCERELY HOPE OUR MEMBERS WILL CONTINUE TO GIVE THEIR SUPPORT TO THE SOCIETY DURING THIS TIME.  WE ARE HOPING TO OPEN THE HERITAGE CENTRE IN DOURO TERRACE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND PLANS ARE IN PLACETO BE READY WHENEVER GOVERNMENT RECOMMENDATIONS ALLOW THIS TO OCCUR.
